Pilates at our Studio
At Brighton and Hove Pilates, we are well versed in the fundamentals of Joseph Pilates’ method but, also spend time continually learning about movement practices to ensure that we adapt and combine the latest research in movement while honouring the Pilates principles.
This allows for a Pilates method that adapts to you and your body, rather than trying to adapt your body to the classical Pilates movements which may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those with an issue or injury. Our method is a great way to begin Pilates – try out our Introduction to Pilates – but also allows us to support you as you increase your strength, mobility and flexibility. Whether you come to us with back pain, looking for more mobility or just to stay active and get stronger, we can support your movement by progressing you through exercises at a pace and level that suits you.
Today in the wellness and movement industry, we know more about our bodies, how muscles, connective tissue, ligaments, bones integrate to help us create movement patterns. Therefore, our goal, is to meet you where you are at, support you to stay active and mobile, help you to move in a more coordinated, stable & balanced way and ultimately help you find freedom in your movement.
We can’t promise instant results, but if you take the time to invest in your health and attend regular sessions, we will work with you to help you achieve your goals.
